As my sister was getting settled into her apartment in Paris where she is studying patisserie at Le Cordon Bleu, we all got the opportunity to see some amazing places! One among them was the Musée de l'Orangerie which houses Monet's waterlilies! I picked up the love for Impressinism and Monet's works in particular from my mom and it was stunning to get to see them in person with her. I certainly felt an overwhelming sense of calm in the presence of these masterpieces which ring the walls of the room.

the entire trip was absolutely amazing from our ancestral home of Scotland, where we looked out at the highlands from Sterling Castle, through England where we walked through the Tower of London (as our scottish ancestors would hope to never do), on to Paris where the food and sights were all that they are rumored to be!
